I can help you to learn to perform regular basic maintenance on your automobile, such as changing your oil; or to help you learn to perform repairs, such as installing a new battery, changing belts, alternator replacement, brake pads/shoes, rotors/drums. Some of these activities may be done online/chat/phone, with appropriate communication and photo exchange. For example, I may be able to give some advice/consultation about diagnostics, etc, or offer some sort of guidance or interactive tutorial as you examine or work on your vehicle. I've been able to help a lot of friends save a lot of money with a little guidance or pointing-in-the-right-direction, or reality-checking on repairs estimates.
Others may require on-site assistance, with distance/location negotiable.
NOTE: virtual/remote assistance, in many/most cases will require the purchase of tools or equipment to complete the job safely and/or effectively.
Training & Qualifications
I have been working on my own automobiles since I began driving. (20+ years experience), including replacing engines and transmissions while still in high school. Among various other current occupations, I work on heavy-duty farm equipment, in addition to occasional car repairs for hire.
Availability & Preferences
My schedule varies widely, but is fairly self-determined and flexible to a large extent. I stay pretty well digitally-connected and I am often available in a pinch, including unusual/after-hours endeavors.
