Food preservation is becoming trendy again! This is because people are sick of all the chemicals and preservatives that are in commercially canned products. Canning your own food is really easier than you think, with the right tools and knowledge. I will come to your location and teach you how to cook and can your own homemade applesauce. You provide the raw materials and I will bring the tools! We will go over the basics of water bath canning, work together to prep the ingredients, cook the applesauce, jar it up, and process it in a water bath. Please plan for about a 4 hour session.
Training & Qualifications
I have been water bath canning for about four years and currently own a business where I make and sell handcrafted jams and jellies. I have researched extensively the proper methods of safely water bath canning products and have used those methods in my own canning.
