Fun Fact & a Pic of my GP
15
Great Pyrenees are a breed of dog that get a LOT of attention where ever one goes. I have been blessed to have 2 in my life. I raised the first, Tilly, from a pup and she was the perfect dog with an unusually long life of 15 years! In 2015, I rescued Thor. He has been more difficult to acclimate due to his abusive history and because I got him after he had already developed some naughty habits. The Great Pyrenees are a beautiful and intelligent breed, but are not for everyone. If you are considering this breed for your family, you are in for an adventure.
I will answer 5 questions about my experience with the breed and send you pictures of my Thor to help you understand this breed a bit better. I am not an expert in the area of this breed, I can only speak to experience. I have had 2 completely different experiences, however, certain things hold true to the breed and I can possibly help you with a decision to bring a Great Pyrenees into your life or help you with one you have already.
This breed gives so much and there is a reason that they are named "great"!
Training & Qualifications
I have been owned by 2 GP in the past 16 years. I have experience with both male and female of the breed and puppies to full on abusive background rescue. This breed isn't for everyone. Learn before you decide, I can help with that. You should know what you are getting into. If you have already decided and want to compare notes, I have that too. If you just love the breed and want to know about personal experience....I have loads. I am not a professional but I have loads of experience.
