About Chelsea Meisner

I hate calling myself an artist because it seems pretentious so let's just say I create stuff wherever I go. It doesn't matter what medium, I've been known to paint the cat when it holds still too lon...g and almost nothing in my house is in its original condition. My art has been described as dark with a humorous note. I love making demon baby dolls for my friend's children to drag to preschool. I love biology and the human body. I have a good sized collection of antique medical tools, and most of my decor is a cross between Peewee's Playhouse and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I have most of a Master's in mental health counseling and love to be able to help people find their own way through life. I was a single parent to four kids from an early age and have mental illness so I tend to be understanding about people having different paths and different ways of coping. I know how rough it can get and am always willing to help although I draw the line at enabling. I know it's a rosy chipper view of things but I honestly believe in the power of an individual to make a difference if only to one person and the power of all of us together to change the world. I'm cheerful, outgoing, funny, and positive with a wicked sarcastic streak and a love of the morbid. I have a female siamese cat named Kevin, a blue and pink poodle named Jealousy and a small rude monkey named Jeffe Bambino. I live in Montana but feel the call of the ocean every minute of my life and it's a constant struggle not to chuck my animals in the car and go live on the beach.show more
