I'm looking for any unique D&D one shot session ideas! I am an experienced 5e player but I've never taken the role of DM; I am pretty creative but for some reason I have trouble coming up with a fun and unorthodox storyline.
I'm just looking for as many suggestions as possible! You don't have to go all out and offer character stats or anything, just a general situation that I can expand upon.
For example (my girlfriend came up with this one): The players are all children who take a visit to a carnival/theme park and have run off away from their parents. Unfortunately, the kids are the unluckiest children ever to live and whatever they do, bad luck follows. Everything the kids do goes wrong and their goal is to survive the theme park while also completing their individual goals (predetermined by the DM) and avoiding their parents.
