Howdy movie fans! I'm directing a short comedy-horror film this summer in June (perhaps sooner if things move along smooth enough) and am scouting for my main shooting location in the Atlanta area. The scene takes place in a slightly upscale family home. Ideally, the location would have a wide open living space, an island in the kitchen, a long hallway, and a young girl's bedroom. However, I'm definitely willing to make concessions on some of these if the location is awesome enough. We would be shooting for two to three days, up to ten hours each. I would also need a couple of days in the space to take measurements, plan shots, and rehearse blocking. In total, I imagine it will be around 6 days total time spent in the location. Our cast/crew is somewhat sizable, with an estimated ten to fifteen people on set at any given time. Although minimal, there will be some blood/fx work done, but great care will be taken not to damage or stain anything. In return, for each day of filming on the location, I can provide a day's worth of filming services. Alternatively, in exchange for each day of filming, I can provide a full day's worth of one-on-one, hands on filmmaking lessons focusing on whatever subjects you choose (I have experience teaching film techniques in a university setting; feel free to check my profile for more info on what I'm qualified to teach).
