I am an editor and writer with a first-rate eye for detail and a knack for finding issues that others fail to notice. I have seven years of experience in various types of editing (copyediting, line editing, proofreading, and substantive editing) and have worked for several large publishers and other companies as an intern, proofreader, and freelance editor. I also taught high-school and middle-school history for about two years.

I am also the owner of a crochet shop on Etsy, CrochetAwayCo. I began crocheting seriously in 2017 after a serious foot injury that left me stuck on the couch for most of the spring and summer. I crochet everything from hats to sweaters to blankets and love trying out new ideas, so I always have entirely too many projects going at the same time. ;) I adore bright, colorful, soft yarns and use all sorts of them in my work. My shop mascot is my stuffed polar bear, Rowan.
