Ask a Me about Food Allergies
2
Ask any question about FOOD ALLERGIES or parenting a kiddo with allergies or both!
Have a question you aren't quite sure who to ask? Need some advice?
Curious if you or your children are allergic?
Maybe not something your friends or family would know or you aren't sure if they would be comfortable answering?
I know that I would have benefited from a resource like this when I was first starting on my journey with my son's allergies.
I am open to giving insight to anyone who is interested. I think it is important to be able to share your experience and knowledge with others.
Please keep the questions professional. Ask away!
I will be honest, open and respectful to you and I would like the same in return.
Can't wait to connect and help fill some gaps.
*I am not a doctor, nor do I pretend to be one. I can only offer advice on what I have experienced first hand myself or with my children. If you think your child is allergic to something, please have them tested by an allergist and take precautions against a reaction.
Training & Qualifications
I have a 13 yo with a lot of food allergies. He was diagnosed at 6 months old when he started eating solid foods. I had to adjust everything he ate and I became incredibly quick at scanning food labels.
He has grown out of many of the allergies, but still most of the major ones remain.
Currently he is still allergic to Milk (Whey & Casein Proteins), Eggs, Peanuts, Kiwi, Most melons and Turmeric.
I have carried an Epi-pen for 13 years and thankfully have never had to use it.
I can usually spot an allergic reaction before my son can tell me it is happening.
