THANK YOU for checking out my service! Yoga is a huge part of my life and I love to share it with others! I started practicing yoga in 2006 while in college in Pennsylvania. At first, I was going for 'the stretch' after kickboxing classes but I very quickly discovered that the physical poses of yoga (called 'asanas' in Sanskrit) are just one aspect of this amazing, ancient system of knowledge.
After those first classes, I started attending yoga classes regularly and practiced mainly Vinyasa-style yoga. Around the same time, I switched my college major from Environmental Science to Exercise Science to learn more about the body and the science behind how it works, specifically as it related to physical activity. Much of my research centered around yoga-related studies. In 2008, I began working as a personal trainer at my university's rec center and started incorporating yoga as part of my client's routines. After graduation, I moved to Florida and decided to take a deep dive into my yoga practice ('sadhana') by completing my 200-hr certification in Vinyasa yoga. I continued to practice and teach for a few more years before being in the right time in life to take my 300-hr certification training, which I finished in 2015.
Through my yoga journey I have practiced and experimented with a variety of styles of yoga. My personal favs are Vinyasa-based, gentle, and yin yoga.
Because my full time job is not in the yoga world, I teach classes and private sessions on weeknights and weekends and whenever else I can. I also am currently taking classes toward my MBA so my schedule, much like yours, stays pretty full.
My life is forever more rich because of what yoga has helped me realize about myself and the world. I believe there is a style and teacher of yoga that everyone can connect with and enjoy. I would love to help you learn the basics or delve deeper - look forward to connecting!!
Love and Light! ✨🌟
