Genealogy Research
75
I will research a family member using Ancestry.com web site and provide you with any details or photos available.
Ancestry.com service is expensive. Simbi allows users to find the services they desire without monetary cost.
Documents will be uploaded through Simbi in PDF format (Adobe Reader). Photos will be sent in .jpg format, whenever possible, for printing later on. Some documents might need to be enlarged for viewing, which is available through the Paint program on all Windows operating systems. I'm sure MAC computers have a comparable program.
Attention individuals who do not understand the different formats: just know that there should be no problem opening the files.
Examples of documents you might receive:
Draft card registration
Census
Newspaper article
Obituary
Marriage or divorce documents
Death certificate
Much more!
Training & Qualifications
I have conducted my own family research for 47 years. Gee...that statement makes me feel really old! Genealogy has always been a passion of mine. When I was twelve years old, a friend whose father researched his family history discovered he was related to Sarah Good of the Salem, Massachusetts witch trials. From that moment on, I was hooked! I have since traced my roots to Suffolk, England during the 14th century.
After a few requests that I was unable to fulfil, I need to let those who are interested know I cannot access sealed records (adoptions, etc.)
Availability & Preferences
I am on the computer daily, so there should be no problem with communication.
