Training & Qualifications
I am a home-making enthusiast who's obsessed with being able to survive a zombie apocalypse on my ability to turn the environment around me into anything I need it to be. I need to find shelter for the night? Let's see, All I've got are a tire, a belt, and a windbreaker, maybe combined with that bush over there.... Hey look pinecones! Never know when THESE will come in handy...
I learned how to sew in high school. I was a techie for our school plays. With a public school budget thinking outside of the box to get the show to go on was REQUIRED. I've learned some incredible tricks from some amazingly creative people.
I've been baking since I was 10. Ever since my mother told me "if you want cookies, make them yourself", the possibility of not having to rely on others to get food for me was opened up to me and it's been growing ever since. My husband comes from a long line of amazing cooks who "can make dirt taste amazing" and after tasting his grandmother's cooking, I believe him. My courage to experiment in the kitchen has led me to discover some amazing things.
The freedom to make my own stuff is wonderful. I can look at things and think "oh, I see how that was made, but if I were to make it, I would do it THIS way instead of THAT way." I am more than willing to share my freedom with anyone who wants to learn.
