I'm a linguistics major in university in my senior year. I have been conlanging (creating languages) since I was 15 and that's why I'm in college for linguistics. I'm on the dean's list and have been for the past two years.
I am president and founder of the knitting and crochet group at my university, so I knit and crochet frequently and I teach other people how to. I sell my knitted items on Etsy and my knitting patterns on Etsy and Ravelry (some are free on Ravelry!)
My mom is an artist (polymer clay, origami, fine arts) and I take after her in that way. I love art. I paint (oils, acrylics), knit, crochet, draw (digital, charcoal/conte, pencil), I do photography (iphone, fancy digital cameras, b&w film cameras, photograms, pinhole cameras), I create languages and writing systems (yes, that's art!), and many other media that I don't use as frequently, such as polymer clay, origami, and other miscellaneous crafts.
I've studied 6 languages in school (Spanish, French, Latin, German, Chinese [Mandarin], and Japanese) and I'm trying to learn Cornish (Kernewek Kemmyn) right now because it's my heritage language and it was dead for around 100 years but was revived around 100 years ago, which makes learning it so much cooler. In fact, I even have a blog where I post words daily and will sometime soon (hopefully) get around to posting lessons and the like and integrating that with Memrise and Quizlet.
I collect language and linguistics books (I currently own over 500!).
I want to write novels that include my conlangs. That's pretty much my life goal.
I retain the rights of everything I create unless I specifically state otherwise.
Mostly this just means I can use what I make for you as examples of my work.
