This may be a little out of the ordinary, but I sure wish there was a service like this for me. I am offering friendly support and encouragment for people who are being "victimized" by CPS (Child Protection Services/ Family and Children Servies/ Child Welfare/Department of Community Services). I don't use the word victim lightly, because it has been proven many times, that harm comes to children and parents, when families get torn apart.
While I understand there is a need for child protection, the CPS/DCS has grown so far from it's original intent to do good. There are many young social workers on a power trip who take shots at vulnerable parents in need of help out of judgement and vengeance. My children are my life, and the thought of someone taking them from me, makes it my worst nightmare. I have been navigating my way through a very intricate, corrupt, and complex system for over a year now.
I don't have all the answers but I do have some, and I can help you just " keep going" some days when the burden is heavy. Afterall, I'm very thankful...I had someone to turn to during my dark days.
CPS is one of the most powerful and intimidating systems of control. I believe I can be a valuable resource of information. I can offer tips, suggestions, and point you in a lot of the right directions, or just lend a friendly non judgemental ear and be a sounding board. It takes great courage to stand in integrity and fight against Government agency. Most people think they have to just submit or "play the game". Experience has taught me, you may as well stand in your integrity and fight, because "playing the game" does not offer a practical win-win.
It also takes great courage to admit you need help and reach out, and I assure you that your information will remain absolutely confidential.
Agency involvment can be a long, grueling, and uncomfortable process. It can be frightening, depressing, and even downright dreadful. God gave us children, and while I can appreciate the need for supports, help, and guidance....NOONE has the right to take them away.
