Survivor Tales or Lessons Learned
2
I am starting down the path of writing small book series geared towards teens and young adults. It will be a journal style inspirational series on surviving childhood traumas... IE: abusive family homes, bullying, depression/anxiety/suicide, alcoholism or other substance abuse in the home, sexual abuse/rape, etc. I have overcome a lot in my life, I know a lot of people who have as well. It takes a lot to get through things and kids today face more and more problems than ever before, or so it seems. This project will hopefully allow them to see that they aren't alone and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
I am looking for advice tidbits, quotes, reflections, words of wisdom, testimonials, or even a short write up on something that happened that you overcame (could even be someone you know that you helped through- NO REAL NAMES PLEASE).
This is all on your comfort level, of course. For this request, I don't want anything extensive, just something short and sweet. Please also note if you mind expanding on any short tales if the time comes (for additional simbi, of course).
Thanks in advance!
