***AVAILABLE FOR MEETING UP IN NASHVILLE AND MEMPHIS, TN ONLY--ALL VIRTUAL SERVICES MUST USE SKYPE OR FACETIME FOR FULL BENEFITS***
After we come to an agreement concerning this service, I will send you an email containing fewer than 20 questions that have similar formatting to the Reading portion of the ACT Test. After you complete answering these questions, we will have our scheduled 45-minute appointment and check your answers then. We will review whatever questions you miss in detail so that you understand how to find the correct answer in the future. I will also go over some helpful strategies and tips for conquering the Reading portion as well as the ACT Test in general.
I know what it's like to struggle with a subject. I have always loved reading and writing, but I have sobbed over math homework. With my parents' personal help and support, I worked hard to pull up my Science score on the ACT when I was in high school. I am not here to judge you for where you stand now. I just want to help others feel the relief and pride one feels when they have reached the score they've dreamed of. :]
Training & Qualifications
In high school, I took the ACT Test five different times in one year, pulling up my 26 composite score to a 31. In English, I made a perfect 36 score on my final test, and I made a 34 in Reading.
I began my job at a tutoring center in January 2017. In addition to helping children become literate through the Wilson Reading System (designed especially to help other with dyslexia and other learning disabilities), I work one-on-one with lots of high schoolers to boost their ACT test scores, as well as their confidence, in English, Reading, and Writing.
I also worked as an English 1010/1020 instructor and as a Center for Writing and Communications tutor for the University of Memphis for the 2016-2017 academic year.
Availability & Preferences
I am usually free in the evenings/at night on weekdays and free during the day on weekends. Lately, I've been pretty flexible though, so just hit me up!
