Holistic Health Practitioner student focusing on bodywork at Healing Hands School of Holistic Health. I will be completed with my HHP program by the end of March. Modalities include Swedish/Circulatory, Tui Na, Shaitsu, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue, and Reflexology.
Besides pursuing my Holistic Health Practitioner cert, I have a BFA in Filmmaking. I got into film because I wanted to work on myself and grow as a person. As a child, I suffered some traumatic experiences that would hinder my social skills. Art was always something I could count on to express myself. Having to collaborate with others for the purpose of expressing or telling a story was something I knew would help me overcome my past.
Before I got into film, I was a kinesiology major with an emphasis on exercise science. I am very active and would be miserable if I could not be. Maintaining my body holistically is something I find fundamental.
The HHP program fell into my lap naturally. Getting into bodywork and learning more about human anatomy was almost automatic. Little did I know, it would help me continue my journey of personal growth and healing.
Being able to receive positive touch is therapeutic. Being able to give positive touch is gratifying. My goals are to help clients with their own needs. I am about promoting body awareness and self-healing on all levels.
