Life with EDS and 70 Surgeries
I will teach both laymen and medical professionals what Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is from a patients point of view as well and discus what tests should be performed . I will talk about recent studies into Ehler-Danlos commonly called EDS discus diagnosis, treatment options and some of the dangers of misdiagnosis , and the proper way to triage a patient with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. I will also talk about the affects of the disease from my personal perspective as each patient with EDS is different and has different symptoms no on e including a EDs patient can give you a all inclusive look at the disease. I can also discus the affects of POTS and MCAs which are commonly associated with EDS .
Training & Qualifications
I have lived with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome since birth and as a researcher have read 100's of studies instructed physicians into the proper treatment diagnosis and triage techniques. I have helped counsel new patients and guide their Doctors into what tests should be performed right away and which ones can wait but should still be done. I have published articles on the subject, lived with the diseases, and raised a son with them as well.
