Ancestral Skills & Survival Lessons
50
I will help you remember how our most fundamental human assets of dexterity, ingenuity, and culture combine to provide our physical and spiritual needs, and connect us intimately and inextricably with our environment. I will teach you things like how to start a fire without matches or lighters, and how to keep it burning well and use it to cook; how to process an animal for its leather, meat, and bone and sinew tools; how to turn soil into beautiful functional pottery; how to find fibers in nature and turn them into string, rope, and textiles; how to turn stone into tools like axes and arrowheads; how to make hunting implements like bows and arrows; useful plants for food and medicine and how to use them; and much more! What's your interest?

Availability & Preferences
with arrangement, I am potentially able to offer anything from an hour-long session on friction fire to a multi-day wilderness outing or small group class covering many topics.
