Mental Health/Addiction Support
12
I am offering one 30-45 minute session (depending upon your needs) and one email/message including information about needed resources.
If you are suffering from a mental illness or are a caregiver to someone who is suffering, I can offer resources and support.
I am very knowledgeable about community resources available (primarily in NYC), including:
- housing
- food stamps (SNAP)
- public assistance
-case management/care coordination services
-Social Security benefits/eligibility
-homeless shelters
-soup kitchens/food pantries
-insurance (Medicaid)
-mental health/primary care/chemical dependency clinics, if you are undocumented or don't have insurance there are no-fee clinics available in the community
-vocational programs (employment)
-Respite services (free services designed to give caregivers a temporary short term break)
-support groups (including grieving support)
If you aren't in NYC and are seeking resources, I will research resources for you that are in your area. Resources may be limited in other states.
If you want to talk, I can also offer emotional support and advice based upon my experience.
Something to note: Change is possible! But change can only occur if the individual WANTS it and takes the necessary steps forward.
