Born and raised in Kansas, I am the first of my immediate family to graduate from college. A wise man once said "Success is a journey, not a destination" I believe this to be true, through new experie...nces and adaptation we set ourselves up for success in future endeavors. For example, I started my laboratory career with OTJ training, I had never performed a venipuncture in my life nor did I have any sort of clue what a Levy Jennings chart was. I learned and evolved into a rural healthcare setting lab technician and I acquired several skills this way. Then I wanted to see what laboratory skills I could learn beyond my critical access hospital setting, so that lead me to taking the MLT program and now I am heading toward becoming a certified Medical Lab Technician (MLT). For this new chapter in my career, I am ready to take on new challenges and explore where new adventures will take me.show more
