I'd like to start by apologizing for my absence in the past year. Due to some personal events, let's call them hick-ups, I have not been active in quite some time.
Yes, I am a professional marketing coordinator, complete with fancy MS Marketing degree and Integrated Marketing Communications graduate certificate. I've spent my career in mostly service marketing - healthcare, architecture, and non-profit sectors. I freelance in jump starting small business (tutors, instructors, shop keepers, etc.) through strategic planning of marketing/advertising. I am quite handy at developing free and low cost marketing plans. I can teach you basic business marketing such as branding consistency, social media, b2b communications, and marketing plans. I answer Simbi mail 2x a week.
Before I became a marketer, I was a technical curriculum developer and white paper editor. My writing styles include web content, press releases, curricula, technical documentation and product specifications, feature news and radio. I am the editor of “Roadmap for Career Success” by best selling author Debora McLaughlin and Lisa Martelli .
When you see my resume you will notice I often spend time as an event coordinator; both professionally and as a volunteer. My history of events goes back 20+ years (thank you Girl Scouts) and it was my first job out of undergrad. I've done events as large as 1500 people. Types include fairs, galas, seminars, birthdays and so on.
My hobbies include arts and crafts, travel, and learning business strategy. I've been into art for as long as I can remember, however, I have a fondness to pastel chalk and acrylic painting. Drawing is not my gift but the proper use of the tools of the trade I have learned through many, many art classes.
