Logo for my Educational non-profit

Hello!
Here's the skinny: I made a nonprofit, dunno how to run business, but still need to think about marketing and stuff (I just wanted to teach kids IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK).
What's the logo for?
It's called Firefly, aimed currently toward 6-14 year olds (will expand to all kid ages eventually). I want to develop a program of after-school clubs in disadvantaged neighborhoods to do cool things from dance to robotics to synthetic biology! these kids should engage and explore unique things without the pressure of grades/job. for now, i'll start with LEGO robotics (or Synthetic Biology depending on what contacts I make).
What kinda look?
Well, I'm not very good at thinking about that stuff. Here's a list of things I would like and also not like in the logo:
~Not super formal, but also not kiddish. (in the same vein, I was originally thinking of naming this org something like "Gummyworm" or something! But it's important to note that most interactions at the business level will be with schools and institutions, even though the primary goal is to engage kids).
~Not super minimalist. I like details and colors and depth. This simbi post was pretty cool, even if it's not exactly what I would like https://simbi.com/amelia-nakanishi/mail-you-a-beetle-print
~I kinda like the idea of something techy, just because Raspberry Pi was my inspiration for all of this. One of my friends made a sketch with an actual lightbulb for the fly's butt (you don't have to do that obviously).
Price is negotiable.
