How to improvise on piano

20

20 per session - Virtual OK - Posted May 26, 2017

Many people get discouraged when they can't play the difficult piano piece they set out to play. I will teach you how to start making your own music on the spot from day one so that it sounds good to others and is fun for you to play. The number of sessions is up to you, but we can go into as much detail as you want. You can learn music theory, chords, and scales, or you can just learn a couple of tricks to turn mashing on the keyboard into your own melodies.

I am very patient, and I know it can take a long time to build up the finger dexterity to do fancy tricks. That's why we can use your natural musicality to focus on your strengths and hide your weaknesses. Anyone can improvise beautiful music on the piano; I can show you how.

Training & Qualifications

I've been playing piano since I was 8, and jazz since I was 13. I've competed in classical competitions and played in jazz ensembles in high school and in college. I've been a part of a jazz combo, which played live events all across the college campus. We occasionally accompanied singers.

Trading Preference: I’m flexible, just hit me up!
