I am a 36 year old special education teacher in Austin, Texas. I have been teaching for 6 years, specializing in working with students from kindergarten to 5th grade with learning disabilities in the ...areas of basic reading skills, reading fluency, reading comprehension, written expression, oral expression, or listening comprehension. I also work with students on the autism spectrum, and with ADHD, traumatic brain injuries, emotional disabilities, intellectual disabilities, etc. I employ a multi-sensory approach to research based, brain based learning that fit the individual needs of each student. I prefer project based learning and instilling a love of curiosity and problem solving.show more
