Beginning Sewing Lessons
I can teach for a 2-3 hour stretch one time, or set up weekly or bi-weekly lessons.
I prefer to teach anyone over the age of 11.
If you live too far to travel to Kansas City, MO, then I'd be happy to set up a videochat or skype for the lesson!
Here's what you will learn in my class:
1) How to properly use a sewing machine, with troubleshooting tips
2) Complete a project like a pillow, zipper bag, or tote bag
You must have your own sewing machine. I would prefer that you bring your own scissors, pins, and fabric, but I do have extras for you to borrow if needed (for in-person classes)

Training & Qualifications
I've been sewing since I was 12, studied Fashion Design for 2.5 years at Stephens College in Columbia, MO, and have been doing professional alterations for over 10 years.
Right now I work full time tailoring for Jos A Bank Clothier, and part time bridal alterations for The Gown Gallery KC.
Availability & Preferences
I am available most weekday evenings, and some weekends.
