Home Manufacturing Consultant

25

25 per unit - Virtual OK - Posted Mar 01, 2017

Want to create something out of raw materials but don't exactly have the money to outsource to expensive manufacturers? I'm here to help you find the right path to do it yourself for a fraction of the price it would normally take.
Keep in mind that nothing can match the quantity manufacturers can output, home manufacturing is made for small runs, or one-off products only.

What I will do for you:
-Take your idea and layout the game plan of producing said item.
-I will outline what equipment/materials you will need, how much it will cost, and in some cases where to get it.
-How you need to use said equipment and materials to create the end product.
-NOTE: I will not be doing anything related to the product for you, such as design, 3D modeling, etc. I am just to be telling you to model it in CAD instead of doing it for you for instance. Although I have experience in CAD and can provide the service for you if needed.

Training & Qualifications

I am a Certified SolidWorks Associate, I have 4 years of CAD under my belt. I am currently taking a CNC course and have experience in using CNC Mills and Lathes.

Availability & Preferences

Fridays-Sundays completely free most of the time.

Trading Preference: I prefer being paid in simbi

About Robert McEwen

Ever since I was introduced to CAD programs, I fell in love with being able to create something from nothing, to a great accuracy. Beforehand, being restricted to just pen and paper didn't fulfill the... desire I yearned for. Creating my first few models in Autodesk Inventor was an amazing feeling, and that feeling never went away as my skills improved with time. The first model to the model I last made still gives the same great satisfaction of completing a project. Moving into more professional level work with more well-known CAD programs like SolidWorks is a big step that I'm very glad I took by taking CAD classes and look forward to doing CAD draftwork for years to come.show more
