Virtual 1 hour Infant Massage Class
50
Infant massage is an ancient and mostly intuitive process that's been taught mother to daughter for innumerable generations around the world. In our culture, many parents got out of the habit of touching their babies this way, and recent scientific studies have shown us the importance of loving touch early in life for cognitive and physical development, attachment and bonding, and for a variety of specific health issues.
I will be teaching you a simple massage routine you can do with your baby as a regular part of your daily care. It will also include a set of handouts for you to print out that shows the routine as well, which I'll email to you ahead of the call time we schedule. I'll also go over special flows that can be used to soothe colic and constipation. It will be a fun class with plenty of opportunity to stop for feeding or diaper breaks, and in groups, time to go over anything you missed at the end. Call time will be approximately an hour, and we will use Skype to do a video chat. You'll need to have your baby with you, preferably during a time of day they are in a quiet, alert state, a baby blanket, some sweet almond, coconut, or other safe food-grade oil, and the stroke sheets I'll email you before the call
