Culture is all around us, no matter where we look. It often goes unseen and unrecognized in our day to day lives, but has a heavy impact on how we understand and interact with the world. I can provide an in-depth discussion on the hidden world of culture and we can dialogue on the many ways culture clash can be explained and mended in day to day life. Information and discussion can be focused on culture clashes within the United States, or can take a broader scope to explore interactions on an international level, depending on your preference. I may not be able to speak on a particular culture you are interested in, but my knowledge can be applied to any and every culture you will come across. I can also point you to the skills and sources needed to learn more about culture and the world around you. When applied, a thorough understanding of culture can ease tension, build understanding, and work toward conflict-resolution in any kind of relationship.
Training & Qualifications
I am a senior Intercultural Studies major at Trevecca Nazarene University. I have worked with people from several different countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, Myanmar, Somali, Taiwan, and more, and have applied my lessons to avoid miscommunication and misunderstandings.
