I will explain what tae kwon do actually is, and what classes actually involve in terms of time commitment, exertion, and skills gained. I will explain the tangible and intangible benefits of participation. With input from you regarding your fitness and life goals, I will help you decide whether starting tae kwon do is the right decision for you. Based on your training goals, I will give you tips on finding a local dojang that matches what you're looking for. I will be available for ongoing questions/advice/encouragement past the initial consultation.
Please don't think you are unable to try martial arts because of age, fitness, or athleticism limits. It is a highly individualized activity and a lot of fun.
Training & Qualifications
I have 9 years' experience in tae kwon do. I am a first-dan black belt with the World Taekwondo Federation and an assistant instructor at my local dojang. I have trained in three separate cities due to moving for school and have experience looking for a new dojang.
