I will have a friendly philosophical debate with you via email about anything and everything. I will happily play devil's advocate on any point of view, even if it opposes my actual views. If you're looking to argue the specifics of a given philosopher or piece of literature, I may need some time to brush up, but given enough time, I can argue just about anything. If you're genuinely concerned about the implications of a certain line of thought, I can help you hash it out. If you're just looking to exercise your rhetorical technique, I'll put you to the test. I'm a modern day Socrates; I know nothing, but I'm willing to argue about anything. No subjects are off limits, although I reserve the right to terminate any discussion if things become uncomfortable.
Training & Qualifications
I am a writer and stay-at-home dad with a BA in Philosophy from the University of Kansas. I was a staight A student in my core classes, and I used to organize private debate circles in my spare time. I was a debator in high school, so I'm able to take any side on any issue, and argue at least somewhat believably. But my biggest qualification is probably that I'm easily able to compartmentalize. I won't get mad at YOU no matter what we're arguing about (unless you engage in gratuitous ad hominem attacks).
