-Microphones types and their suggested uses and placements.
-Audio Interfaces, purposes, recommendations, set-up and configuration
-Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), and their differences and similarities
-PC computer build for recording (save lots of money, and get a much better machine)
-Choose what file format and data resolution to record in
-Set up a computer to be always ready to record (services and configuration in Windows, any version)
-How to avoid data loss when running full speed
-Design your workspace to keep your hands off the PC keyboard and on your instrument
-Set up your computer for Monitoring, Mixing, and Mastering respectively
-Using multiple hard drives on your PC to increase record time and channel count
Recommended that you have an additional way of video chatting with me beside the computer to be configured. it will take longer if we have to hang up and call again to complete operations, but it can be done. Even a smart phone with a good camera would help.

I have been working with DAW (digital audio workstations since they were introduced to me in 1995. Yes, 1995. I was recording on Cakewalk at age 12. I work for myself from home everyday doing just this kind of thing. I am currently working on my own projects, and can demonstrate just about anything I can describe for you to do. I have cameras, mics and a great streaming connection. We will share screens, and I will walk you through all the button pressing. Then we will save your template, so when you want to record, you just go.
