I will perform a brief (minimum one hour, maximum 2 hour) search for records and other information about your Civil War ancestor. Included are repositories such as (but not limited to): Ancestry, Fold3, The National Archives, Library of Congress, and many many more that may lend clues about your relative. Knowing whether or not he served is helpful, though not necessary. I will then compile what I have found (or, have to break it to you that I came up empty, though let's hope not!) and send it along to you. I will detail which repositories were searched, so that you have a trail of where I've been, and perhaps where you need to go next. Please note that hours searched is not the total amount of time spent on this service; that is just the amount of time I am limiting for myself before I compile and forward your results.
