I am a retired paramedic, professional long-distance backpacker, avid rock climber and licensed acupuncturist. I am the owner of TravelPuncture, the premier acupuncture and natural health house call service, and Ultralight Adventures Inc, an adventure backpacking company that connects people with nature.

I believe in practicing what you preach. Thus, my life is centered around nature. My children are raised with an appreciation and respect for nature. We spend many days wondering through the local parks and wilderness areas enjoying what nature has to offer. Foraging for wild foods is quickly becoming a favorite activity for my children as they are always asking to eat the plants. In regards to healthcare, I personally have not used prescription medications since 2008, and rarely use over-the-counter medications. Instead, I utilize sound natural medicine approaches to promote health, prevent illness, and treat illness.

I want to build a network of like-minded people who want to disconnect from the mainstream societal views, and think for themselves. I have been seeing the shift for many years, and the momentum is building. But, there is still work for us all to do. We need to spend more time disconnected from the distractions and connected with nature. It is there where we will find true happiness and foster a better society.

My goal is to bring back our awareness that we are connected to nature. I do this through the use and promotion of natural medicine, and providing nature based immersion adventures.
