I'm looking for a van to live in on a $6000 budget and I'm kind of daunted by trying to choose one, especially since I expect to be driving it between Oregon and Texas a few times a year and living in it pretty much full time. I've accumulated a list of used vans varying in year from 1969 to 2011 and made by Chevy, Dodge, Ford, GMC, and VW. I'd like someone who could go with me to check out vans and help me look for red flags. Bonus points (and more Simbi) if you can do a thorough inspection on van finalists.
