I will talk to you and your high school student child about college, the admissions process, how to stand out, and important things to remember!
We will talk about things to focus on in High School, extracurricular opportunities, how to make yourself stand out without going overboard, and the best ways to spend your time.
Grades are important but they aren't everything. A student needs to be well rounded and grades alone won't do it. With that said, neither will a dozen different after school activities. It can be difficult to find the happy medium and this is daunting for a lot of students.
I will talk through it with you and offer the best advising you can hope for, before you actually get to college. It's not necessary to know right away what you want to do, but honing in on what you enjoy the most in life, is half the battle.
Training & Qualifications
I work full time in Higher Education Administration in a large university system in the United States. I have experience advising students already and do this every semester with half a dozen students at a major university system.
