About Lisa Marie Shugrue

My interest in Computers began when I was 6, I remember my Father coming home with a Tektronix 4023 (I believe, It looked similar), he turned it on and was all giddy making me giddy. A few months late...r he brought another Computer home that he networked through the floor to the upstairs neighbor. All they could do was play a tank game, it was still pretty cool. Through the years as the technology evolved my knowledge evolved. I have an inherit knowledge of not only the hardware but also the software, which led to my fascination with graphics. I needed to learn how it worked, what programming was use. I began learning basic, then moved on to HTML, however Programming was not where I knew I was going to thrive. I am a self taught homegrown starving artist. I love art and the process involved with its creation. I however am not a fan of going to museums, I enjoy my work to be uninfluenced by the creativity of others. Everyone can draw and apple, and anyone can replicate the apple that someone else created. There are those artists that see not just an object but something alive, those are the ones that are set apart from everyone else. I like to think of my artistic talents in that sense however I know there are some works that I have done that in my opinion are sub-par, more I don t feel as if I translated it the way I saw it. Then again we tend to be our own worst critics. I don t know if I am a fit for the position. I don t know what the first year will be like. If you are looking for someone who is fluent, I can say that I am not. But what I can say is I have a very particular set of skills, skills that I have acquired over the past 20 years. Painter (Acrylics, oils, etc) Photographer (used in texturing) Sketch Artist (used for templates and skeletons) Understanding of Html and Java Understanding of Swift Beginners Knowledge of Maya and Zbrush 4R6 Extensive Creative use of Photoshop CS6 (where its all put together) I also have an Associates Degree in Paralegal studies (making it very useful for researching for projects and understanding of concepts as well as expanding the alleyways to learning new tricks, tips, and methods).show more
