I will do a consultation with you on how you can make your workplace, business, class, organization, or other group more accessible and inclusive.
I can consult on a wide array of topics, including how to be inclusive of people with many different identities (disabled, LGBTQ+, people of colour, women, diverse religions, etc.). Often accessibility is considered to include only physical access for folks who use mobility devices, but there is a lot more to it than that. Are transgender folks alienated by the language you're using? Do folks of colour feel uncomfortable in your space and not really want to return? Are you only attracting wealthy people to your organization because of financial barriers that are in place? These are the types of questions I would love to help you answer.
By the end of your consultation, you will have a list of recommendations and concrete steps you can take to create a more inclusive environment in your space.
This kind of consult is typically 1 hour, but we can discuss your needs and adjust accordingly.
Training & Qualifications
I have a background in web accessibility (including formal training) and have had many consults related to physical accessibility. I have also been running an organization for 3 years that specializes in inclusivity and openness to people with very diverse identities. I have many of these identities myself and have had a great number of discussions about what makes spaces inclusive and/or accessible and what doesn't.
Availability & Preferences
Weekdays during the day is usually best, between about 10am and 4pm (EST).
