About Kutibh Chihabi
As a health research specialist, I utilize my program design skills and project management expertise to address critical health issues.
I’m a successful researcher because of my approach to correctly identify research needs, apply advanced experimental methods, and promptly resolve issues relating to project planning, implementation, and monitoring. During my PhD dissertation where I was utilizing this approach, I was able to not only deduce a potentially new cerebellar-learning pathway, but also received recognition by the scientific community for my work.
Having struggled with weight loss and body image issues, I am especially interested in policy initiatives directed at nutrition research and advocacy. I’ve endorsed the Nutrition Science Initiative (NuSI) as a fundamentally important project of our time and have done preliminary research on the role of PKC-Zeta in regulating Insulin.
Here are of my accomplishments:
♦ Pioneered research on the effect of a novel cerebellar learning component.
♦ Presented findings on cerebellar-dependent learning to an audience of more than 40,000.
♦ Trained 20 undergraduate students in using advanced neuroimaging software.
♦ Conducted 20 unique sessions for a high-level clinical course on medical neuroscience.
♦ Introduced group tours and self-help lab sessions to assist students in understanding critical scientific concepts.
♦ Presented a paper on the role of PKM-Zeta in regulating voltage-gated potassium channels at the Annual Society for Neuroscience Conference.
