Hi there! My name is Kris Mongene, pleasure to meet you :) I believe art is something that should be accessible to everyone and I love skill sharing. I'd be happy to customize a lesson plan to teach you the artistic skills you are interested in at whatever level you are at, beginner through advanced. I feel this instruction would be best performed in person but I'm certain we could set something up through Skype if needed. There may be some supplies I provide, and others you will need to supply, we can work something out.
Training & Qualifications
I am currently a full time student perusing a BA in fine art with a focus in sculpture. I have been a professional artist for over almost 15 years. I've shown my work in galleries and festivals, but mostly these days I do custom wire sculpture through my company Live Wired Creations. In the education department, I've given workshops on wire sculpting technique and was an instructor at a technical college for three years. I am knowledgeable in a wide variety of art mediums including wire, clay/ceramic, paper, fiber art, mixed media, ink, chalk, charcoal, graphite, recycled/upcycled, stained glass, acrylics, digital mediums like photoshop and illustrator and more.
