Reading Help/Tutor

I can meet up for one hour per week at a library in Halifax area, and help someone with their reading skills. We will find a book on a topic you find interesting and work together to enhance your reading and literacy skills.
Open to working with anyone who has trouble reading - youth, teens, adults, seniors. Doesn't matter, as long as you have the patience to keep trying and the will to learn.
Training & Qualifications
I have been an avid reader since I first learned, but it was saddening to see others struggle in my classes, and heartbreaking as an adult to learn so many other adults never learned to read.
I have a Criminals Records Check and Vulnerability Sector Check which I can provide on request. I volunteer at a Summer Camp in August and for the Youth Project in Halifax. I also volunteer as a Big Brother for Big Brother Big Sisters.
Availability & Preferences
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday or Sunday evenings typically work best, but other times may work as well.
