Ask an Armchair Prepper
2
I'm not a doomsday prepper, and I'm too poor to be an uber prepper, but I'm good at researching and making plans. If you are starting to think that maybe, just maybe, our society hasn't learned the lessons of the Great Depression and we are barreling toward a global financial collapse, you aren't the only one. But what do you do to make yourself less likely to suffer when the SHTF? Well, I've been pondering this since 2008, and I've done alot of searching for how to be more self-reliant, sustainable and what are better practices for just becoming a little bit less dependent on the "system". But these resources have taken years for me to compile, and you can pick my brain in a couple of minutes! The service is cheap because I mostly just want to raise awareness and see what other people worried is coming. I'd love to point you in the right direction!
"Hey Kelli, just wondering, what exactly is an armchair prepper?"
"Haha, well, an armchair prepper is one who thinks they know everything about prepping but has little to no actual experience and skills. The title is kind of tongue in cheek. I've been stiffled in my efforts by lack of funds, so all I can do to prepare for what I see coming is learn what I can for free. The real preppers are the ones who are living at their BOL(bug out location) or could actually survive with the skills and supplies they already have if, say, the electrical grid were to go down."
Training & Qualifications
Just a SAHM with lots of time to compile info from the internet. I have learned to store dry goods for long term and researched the best methods for preservation for all kinds of foods and how to reduce your energy needs.
Availability & Preferences
I'm pretty flexible. Mondays and Fridays I have the most time available.
