B.S. in Biology. I'm a giant nerd in areas of pop culture, movies, comics. I'm also a great advocate of investigation and research for the sake of science, and greater understanding of the world around us. However I'm not completely a left-brained Vulcan. My right brain is just as active and a lover of the arts (visual, musical, theater, literature, etc...)
My main area of trading skills is my science skills, and my degree is the best credential I have for my ability to provide tutoring. My main area of study was in biology, however you don't get a degree in science by only taking courses in that. I've taken extensive courses in other areas such as chemistry, physics, maths. I'm by no means an expert in every field of those, however in my experience, putting two heads together on a difficult subject can lead to a greater chance of success than just suffering through on your own with no support. Exams are scary, for anyone, but if you're taking a required course in a subject that may not be your main area of interest, it goes from difficult to daunting. I'd like to help in that respect, and see if discussing a subject in a casual setting, and getting to know the individual's strengths for study is something I can assist with. Even if you don't need to study this for school, and are just interested in learning more about science, there I can help as well. Scientific understanding and appreciation is something we're in a severe shortage of recently, and if I can help more and more people recognize the importance of research and investigation in a scientific field, then I'll have considered that a job well done.
