If your child is struggling with math, has questions that are not being answered in their traditional setting or just wants to learn more, I will discuss their needs with you and make suggestions for alternative materials and/or methods of learning. I can help with all math topics up to and including Algebra II.

As you can see from the photo, I like to use alternative methods of explaining concepts; visual and tactile methods are my favorites. Each child is different and their learning needs are different from every other child. Often just offering kids another way to look at a concept or problem can help make that light bulb click on. In a traditional classroom setting, there is no way for a single teacher to be able to meet each student's individual needs, no matter how noble their intentions. However, if a child learns to look at problems in a way that makes the most sense, they can bring that confidence back to the classroom and increase their own success and happiness.
