IT security is rarely a priority due to implementation challenges and costs. Home users and small businesses should be able to protect their systems and assets with technologies similar to those found in an enterprise. I believe that security can be both practical and affordable.
Based on information that you provide about your systems, networks, and environment, I will make recommendations for simple security controls that are either free, open source, or a minimal cost.
