I am a boundlessly imperfect individual doing my best to be authentic, present and kind in each and every moment. I love comedy - laughing and making others laugh is a joy of mine. I’ve survived my share of challenges in this life and humor has been my saving grace more times than I can count.
Photography is one of my lifelong passions, so when that came together with the opportunity to work with kids in foster care in 2006 - I was thrilled! Having been in Foster Care myself, seeing kids go through similar struggles is even more heartbreaking. I couldn't change their situations but I was blessed with the opportunity to facilitate weekly clubs.
My biggest reason for choosing photography was to open a new avenue of communication for the foster youth; a cathartic way to share their stories and struggles. My high school photography teacher gave me that opportunity and I enjoy passing that on. (Also inspired by the documentary "Born into Brothels".)
