Hi! I just found this site, so excuse my ignorance as to how this whole thing goes. I have lots of hobbies and interests! What I'm most into for the past few years is playing guitar/singing and creating wood furniture and projects. I could give some relatively in depth guitar lessons, help you build your confidence singing, cut down a tree in your yard, mill it into slabs, build furniture, lots of stuff! Never really done any of these things for money. But before I start paying taxes, I might be interested in some bartering!
Types of music I play: guitar and rhythem based pop and alternative. John mayer, jamie cullum, jason mraz, miguel, justin timberlake, all sorts of mellow, funky, R&B/jazz/old pop tunes from years ago. Definitely not going to be much help with punk, rock, metal, indie music.
Stuff I build: I've been doing a lot of sawing with a chainsaw mill lately. So I've got lots of lumber that is drying right now from trees I cut down myself. Cherry, alder, oak, maple, cedar. Also have an interest in using "reclaimed" aka waste wood like pallets, 2x4's, dunnage from construcrion sites etc. I've made a few side tables and coffee tabled, shelves, kitchen items like cutting boards, and beer caddys. Also made some tools like mallets and tool handles. As more tools are added to the collection my capabilities increase :-)
Lastly, I'm an electrician by trade. Now I'm putting this on here just because I don't want it to be misunderstood. I'm in the union, and as a union hand taking side jobs is prohibited. I can advise you on an install, teach you how to do it, and HELP you with it. But I am not a private contractor and I can hold no responsibility for any construction. Period. Sorry to sound gruff, but my local union takes this very seriously so I must be crystal clear as well. Cheers :-)
