Unarmed Self-Defence Workshop
70
Deter. Detect. Defuse. Defend.
Self-defense doesn't require years and years of martial arts training, and it doesn't require a lot of athleticism. It requires knowing what to do, and then practicing it safely with live, moving, resisting human bodies. Skills need to be simple and versatile enough to be quickly learned and easily applied in a chaotic situation.
There's lots that you can learn from books by folks like Gavin DeBecker and Sanford Strong; I'll set up a framework for you to make sense of information, point you in the right direction for learning, and in-person time will mainly focus on hands-on skills.
I will come to your site with all needed equipment and work with small groups of between two and five people. So bring your friends, ready to learn and ready to move around. Sessions run for two hours and alternate between active and inactive times. No one gets left behind, no one leaves feeling confused or stupid.
