I will offer training for beginner to expert level film composing.
If you're just starting out and need to know how to get your hands dirty, learn how to market your work for prospective directors /producers or if you need to refine a process or even a musical passage, I'm here to help in 30 minute blocks.
Training & Qualifications
I have worked in film composing for over 10 years off and on.
I started playing piano, teaching myself at the age of 4, then started composing and performing at the age of 8.
Ever since then I've trained on all types of gear, processes, music theory, film theory, etc.
After going to college for film, I started working as an editor and videographer and learned other areas of film as well.
As a side gig, I taught piano, drums, vocals , composing and recording at Denver School of Music.
While working in a feature film studio, I worked on 4+ features and a bunch of shorts. My friends in the industry keep me informed and updated on new practices and technology. Also, my wife and I play in a community orchestra, which enables me to write for orchestra and test out ideas.
Availability & Preferences
I'm usually free on evenings and weekends.
