About Jeffrey Reed

My name is Jeff, I love computers and everything about them, building them, playing games on them, developing websites on them, etc. I have always enjoyed creating websites but growing up I never thou...ght that the opportunities to do something I love like that everyday existed, so I went a different route for a while. For 11 years (Not counting the 5 of college) I have been immersed in the education world. I began my career teaching in a developmental preschool with an average class size of 10 kiddos all with varying special needs. After 4 years of that, I moved up to the elementary Life Skills classroom where I taught kiddos from Kindergarten up to 8th grade who all had varying special needs. This experience changed me, taught me, and gave me an extremely different outlook on life. After 11 years in the education world, I began to get burnt out. I loved the kids, still miss them terribly, however the politics involved in the education system tied my hands and I would not get as much time teaching the students as I would like. For the moment, and potentially the far reaching future, I have taken on a change in career and moved towards web design which I have always enjoyed. I am excited about this new adventure and anxious to see where it leads. I am still involved in the education world creating resources, offering advice, and spending time with kids in other programs, but it has been a welcome change...for the moment.
