Jeffrey Clark is an Emmy award winning music technologist, broadcast engineer, and performing musician. His work is with both live and digital sound, bridging his background in live performance as an ...instrumentalist and conductor with his skills with technology. As a music technologist, Jeffrey's work has encompassed the entire field of audio. He has worked in live sound for productions ranging from rock bands to pops orchestras to opera. He has recorded with performers such as Ney Rosauro and the Parris Island Marine Band. His work in broadcast has ranged from live concerts to ESPN sports, and he is currently in the running for an Emmy award for his skill in live broadcast audio. He has also done academic research into soundfield and 3d audio, adaptive and generative audio engines, and signal processing. As a performer, Jeff has worked in most musical styles and forms: historically informed performance, art music, jazz, folk, rock, etc. His performance experience encompasses modern, historical, and electronic instruments. He has served as the director of the Moslah Shrine Band, assistant conductor of the Houghton College Philharmonia Orchestra, and as guest conductor for the Brazos Chamber Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphonic Band, the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra, the Wellsville Performing Arts Orchestra, and the Greater Fort Worth Community Band. Mr. Clark holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from Texas Wesleyan University, and a Masters of Music in Instrumental Conducting. He was mentored in recording and production by Kevin Jackson of EMA Studio and, Alan Dusel of Starfield Studios. He is currently mentored by Electro-Acoustic composer and digital audio pedagog Dr. John Thompson, and the award winning multi-media director/producer Arthur Berger of Georgia Southern University. Mr. Clark, when not pursuing his musical or technological endeavors, is an avid collector of stuffed penguins and enthusiastic reader of creative non-fiction and sci-fi.show more
